Not the Japanese tone I was hoping for, turns out he is basically British. Book follows that tone. The atmosphere was great, but the climaxes and cliffhangers and thrilling moments all ended in blah. No real important moments, just collections of small ones. Each chapter was left withhout impact. Missed opportunity at perfection.
