I liked this on a number of levels, but it was simply great writing with a way of weaving the story in and out of the main line through the character's journeys - seemed like a way of bringing in everythign this author wanted to get into his first book, Since I've read the second one of his first, I know this is not a one hit wonder. Great pace.
